Inauguration of KAWISH Karachi – SINDH Chapter:

By the grace of ALLAH, Kawish has opened a branch at Karachi to help deprived community in Sindh by replicating our existing interventions which have achieved stability in Punjab. We are launching first ever IQRA schools at Karachi by first week of July, Inshaa Allah. Karachi branch’s initial focus would be opening of Iqra primary Schools, VTI products promotion & providing Data entry skills / opportunity for graduates in Pakistan’s rural community. Our Team of volunteers (around 10 members) is headed by Team Leader Mr. Amir Hassan (A Senior I.T Engineer engaged with TRG handling high profile Technical assignment). Support of Mr. Ali Hassan, Mr. Mehmood & Mr. Juzer has been significant. Earlier, our associates from Karachi visited Lahore / Bahawalnagar Twice for orientation of activities and replication of Kawish model. Snaps of their visit are pasted below.

Contract with Bentley Systems / United Way Worldwide for Flood Relief:

M/s Bentley Systems ( http://www.bentley.com) has approved grant for rehabilitation work at Kot Addu-Pakistan as undertaken by Kawish Project Team. Decision has been taken by M/s United Way Worldwide (http://worldwide.unitedway.org/) on behalf of M/s Bentley after thorough evaluation of Kawish’s Audit Reports, References, Experience & methodology of work.

We Appreciate unconditional efforts of Mr. Hafiz Atif (Structural Engineer - Nespak), Mr. Waseem Rauf (Bentley) & Madam Lisa (United Way Worldwide - USA) for their interest in Pakistan community rehabilitation & entrusting Kawish to perform the tasks.

Pertaining to our drive for achievement of self sustainability, we need partners to promote our hand made products by VTI women. Revenues generated shall be recycled for operating IQRA Schools, Hospitals & other useful interventions in unprivileged rural community. In return, our partners shall get quality hand made products at very competitive rates.
