RAMADAN MUBARAK

Completion of Rooms at Kot Addu ( A joint venture of Kawish & Bentley Systems for Flood Victims):

Construction of 06 rooms sponsored by BENTLEY SYSTEMS have been completed, Ahamdulillah. Please find below pictures showing comparison. We appreciate the support of Hafiz Atif (NESPAK), Waseem Rauf (Bentley) & Madam Lisa (UWW) enabling us to complete the project in a given time frame.

Opening Of IQRA Schools at Karachi:

First ever IQRA Schools at Karachi have been launched, Alhmdulilah. The ceremony was held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at school site located at Malir Cantt, apposite Race Course Ground. Karachi. Education cost of each kid is approx. Rs. 200 per month. Therefore, this project is expected to consume Rs 720,000 in 36 months to train 80 illiterate kids up to primary Grade. Two more such schools are in planning stage and shall be launched, soon. InshaAllah.

Ambulance Service:

02 Ambulances are Available 24 x 7 x 365 days for 50 km areas coverage comprising of over 100 villages. Kawish Reception desk ensures to entertain plenty of Emergency Calls from Remote villages. Drivers / Technicians transport critical patients to nearest Major Hospitals of cities such as Bahawalnagar, Chistian, Haroonabad, Bahawalpur / Multan & charge fuel costs only. We have served over 1000 emergencies in odd hours since its inception.

Akhuwat & Kawish: Distribution of Bicycles & Sewing Machines: worth Rs 370,000:

Alhamdulillah, 50 bicycles (Total till date: 957 nos.) and 40 Sewing Machines (Total till date: 343 nos.) have been distributed by Kawish Welfare Trust Bahawalnagar among Beneficiaries. Cost of Each Cycle & Sewing machine is 5000 & 3000, respectively. We provide this machinery on small installments / Interest free basis to help community members to grow on self sustainability grounds.

Life Time History:

Until now, 957 bicycles (worth Rs 4.8 millions), 343 sewing machines (worth Rs. 1.3 millions) & 743 Goats / off springs (worth Rs 4.0 million) have been distributed. Recovery rate is nearly 100%.

Installation of new Chillers (Kawish – Haleeb project):

Alhamdulilah, 03 more chillers have been installed. Now, 04 chillers are operational and expected to increase more as we grow in rural areas for milk collection. During Peak season our collection capability exceeds 3000 liters milk per day from our 18 Village milk collection centers. So far, Haleeb has invested around Rs 2.5 million in terms of equipment, training and support marketing activities. Kawish is aiming that each VMC ( Village Milk collection) should generate enough revenues to sustain Iqra school in a Mosque helping local kids to get free education, couple of unemployed graduates getting job and community members to maintain mosque operations without depending upon external donations. A step towards self sustainability for honorable living !!!!

Free Medical Camp for Livestock at Bahawalnagar:

A medical camp was held to educate people to handle animals most effectively & tips for preventative measures. Importance of Free water & balance Feeding, Importance of Dewarming, Importance of Vaccination, and Importance of Minerals for reproductive system were discussed. It would help local community to overcome diseases, control mortality rate and produce more milk in an economical way by adopting modern practices.
